'X
Factor' contestants including Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon
got the chance to see Simon Cowell do a version of Vanilla
Ice's 'Ice, Ice Baby' at the show's wrap party earlier this
week.
Simon Cowell's version of Vanilla Ice's
classic rap 'Ice, Ice Baby' was a
hit at the 'X Factor' wrap party on
Tuesday (15.12.09).
The music mogul - who
was unable to attend the party at London's
Jalouse night club, as he had jetted off for
his Christmas holiday - pre-recorded hi s
version of the rap for the show's
contestants to enjoy.
A source at the party told the Daily
Mirror newspaper: "At midnight Dermot
interrupted the singing and got on stage to
tell everyone to look at the screen.
"Simon has no right to slate anyone's
singing after hearing that.
"They were bent over laughing at the
video of the crew dancing and singing
around. The bash was laid on by Simon to
thank all the crew and contestants for
working on this year's show."
Unfortunately, contestant Danyl Johnson,
27, was unable to attend the party as he had
been double booked.
The bisexual singer took to the stage in
his hometown of Reading, where a special VIP
party was thrown at the city's Penta Hotel
in his honour.
He said: "I haven't got a free day until
April, so I really wanted to do this. There
was so much support for me from the people
of Reading."
Despite his absence, other 'X Factor'
contestants including Stacey Solomon, Olly
Murs and John and Edward were at the party.

On Saturday, July 4th, Vanilla Ice performed at his second concert with MC
Hammer. This concert took place at an outdoor club at the MGM Grand called
Wet Republic. This sold-out show was not only attended by several thousand
enthusiastic fans, but was also attended by several celebrities.
Lebron James, Rhianna, and Jay-Z were all in attendance for the concert which
was electrifying!
Pictures from the concert have been added to the Concert Photossection of VanillaIce.com or check out the article in the
Las Vegas Sun and see their

The next Vanilla Ice / MC Hammer concert will be on November 14th at the
Civic Center in Idaho Falls, ID.
"Profile of the hip-hop singer who soared to stardom, and then saw his career
crash and burn just as quickly. Born Robert Van Winkle, he excelled in break
dancing, and was given his famous nickname by fellow break dancers because he
was white. His hit song "Ice Ice Baby" put him at the top of the charts, but he
soon faltered. He was accused of being a fraud because of false statements about
his past, and he was forced to share royalties with a rapper who claimed he
co-wrote "Ice Ice Baby." In a fragile state, Vanilla Ice wrote a suicide note
and ingested massive amounts of drugs and alcohol. He survived, and went on to
find more success in a second career as a reality show star."

THE
Killers, check. Snow Patrol, check. Kaiser Chiefs, check.
Razorlight, check. Vanilla Ice … come again?
The line-up was what you might call eclectic, but there was no
denying Richard Branson's musical branding exercise, V Festival,
had something for everyone.
Flamboyant Las Vegan rockers the Killers were the headline act,
but it was '90s rapper Vanilla Ice who generated the most
excitement among the 20,000 crowd of mostly 20-somethings at the
Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
Ice (aka Robert Van Winkle) had been flown out as part of an
advertising campaign by Virgin Mobile in which image took over ,
with baggy pants and hair cuts, pop acts were called to atone
for their crimes against music.
Clearly all had been forgiven, if the deafening roar that
erupted when he hit the stage was any indication.
Even before he began, hundreds of fans found themselves caught
in a sweaty crush as more and more people tried to push their
way into the auditorium for a glimpse of the rapper.
No
one seemed more stunned at the heady fug of love than Ice
himself, especially considering most in the crowd were 5 to 10
years old, when his huge hit, Ice Ice Baby, became a handbag
disco anthem in 1990.
Friends Sarah McElholum, 20, Joanna Rodigo, 24, and Sonia Ablett,
21, squeezed their way in for what they considered a "part of
pop history".
"Everyone knows the songs, so to say that you once saw Vanilla
Ice sing Ice Ice Baby is pretty cool," Ms Rodigo yelled.
ABSOLUTLY AMAZING !
Virgin
Mobile has been sponsoring Vanilla Ice in Australia coupled with the "Right
Music Wrongs" campaign and Vanilla Ice has been performing to massive crowds and
with great success all across Australia!
Over 700,000 people voted for Vanilla Ice in Australia alone!

Last night in Las Vegas, Vanilla Ice performed a concert that was hailed by
onlookers and staff of Caesar's Palace as the best concert they have ever had
there! The concert was packed with enthusiastic fans and the crowd was not
without celebrities! In fact, during the concert, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
joined Vanilla Ice on stage! The concert was packed, wall-to-wall, and
Caesar's Palace said that they would be bringing Vanilla Ice back very soon.
Be sure to catch a concert when Vanilla Ice comes near you! His shows are
as good now as they have ever been!
The concert combining Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer was a huge success! See
the video below to view highlights from the show, including when MC Hammer joins
Vanilla Ice on stage during Vanilla Ice's portion of the concert! Concert
